Carol Chipkin has a B.A. in Fine Art from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg where she was born and educated. She has always been oriented to the more decorative with a passion for colour, which probably originated during the time she was a textile designer. Her work is most frequently mixed media and she uses colour strongly without being brash.
